The site of Zigong Salt History Museum is Xiqin Guildhall. In the period of Yon8zhen of the Qing
Dynasty, many salt merchants came from Shaanxi to Zigong. they jointly raised money to built this guildhall in the first year of Qianlong ( A.D,1736 ) for the purpose of flaunting their achievements and
entertaining their relatives. This project was finished sixteen years later.了he whole architecture composed of many urtits and melted construction styles such as palace and civilian, south or north. It was a model works irt sou them t;uildhalls of our country.
　　This architecture was exquisitely designed and its carvings and decoration were very magnificence. It is the extract among warehouse of Chinese architectures and it is also a valuable relic on the history of salt development. In the place, the display of salt history and architecture is a happy combination and brings out the best in each other. In Jan 1988, it was issued as the national important relic protection unit。
